Ferrari has issued a recall for up to 185 examples of its newly turbocharged California T sports car for a potentially “improper low pressure fuel line connection.” The flaw could allow fuel to leak into the engine bay, an issue that Ferrari says may increase the risk of a fire.

Notice of the recall was given to NHTSA in November, and Ferrari has already begun implementing its fix—replacement of the low pressure fuel line. Initially, Ferrari’s NHTSA filings suggested as many as 304 2016 model-year vehicles could be involved in the recall, but a later amendment lowered that figure to 185. A stop-sale on affected California T models was implemented November 23, 2015, and it does not appear as though any fires or injuries attributable to the defect have occurred.
