-If you’ve never heard of Lego’s Ideas competition, it’s actually pretty cool. Every couple months, fan-made Lego sets that get a certain number of votes are chosen to be considered to become official Lego sets. The company just announced its second-ever winning set, and it’s a Caterham Seven.
-That means that, soon, you’ll be able to walk into your local Lego store and buy an official Caterham Seven kit. That’s pretty awesome. It’s probably not going to give you quite the same feeling as spending a couple hundred miles behind the wheel of a real Caterham Seven, but if you can’t get your hands on the actual thing, a Lego set isn’t a bad consolation prize. Also, building the Lego Caterham kit would probably take way less time than assembling the actual kit car.

Let’s also cross our fingers because one of the sets Lego is evaluating for the next competition is a Toyota FJ40. How awesome would it be to build that?
